Atmospheric scene of an ancient stone chamber at dusk — a manuscript open on a table beside an oil lamp, scrolls and a leather journal nearby, with a Mediterranean coastal city visible through a carved archway at sunset. The author name D.A. PRYCE rendered in gold serif type on the right.

The Jerusalem Code

Book Two of The Apocrypha Trilogy
A Father's Lock. A Dying Fragment.
A Truth They'll Stop at Nothing to Bury.
Forty-seven hours. That's all Ava Calloway has before the relic sealed beneath Jerusalem is lost forever, and she's the only one whose bloodline can open the seal. From the Old City to the cisterns of Istanbul, she stays a step ahead of everyone hunting the fragments — those who want them sealed away and those who want them seized. Her father found this door and could never open it. Ava won't get a second chance.

PROLOGUE - The Tunnel
Alexandria, Egypt - Three Years Earlier
The discoloration was barely visible. A faint change in the limestone where the tunnel curved, the kind of mark that twenty-five years of fieldwork had trained James Calloway to see.
He pressed his fingers against it. Cool. Rough. Except for one small area that felt smooth in a way nature never could produce. Human hands had shaped the stone, carved with a precision that spoke of first-century masonry. Whoever had created this hiding place understood that secrets, to survive, must hide in plain sight.
"There's something here," he whispered.

Hi, I'm D.A. Pryce

In my own words...

I write archaeological thrillers grounded in real history and the dangerous human politics of who controls what we know about the past.
The debut series, The Apocrypha Trilogy, follows Ava Calloway across continents as she traces fragments of an artifact connected to Mary Magdalene as she is hunted by a shadowy preservation council, Vatican operatives, and people she once trusted.
The Apocrypha Trilogy is only the beginning.
My universes are built to expand: new protagonists, new conspiracies, new organizations, and new corners of hidden history where powerful institutions will stop at nothing to keep the truth buried.
If you enjoy the atmospheric historical suspense of Kate Mosse and the high-stakes conspiracy thrillers of Brad Meltzer, you will love this debut series.
